It’s autumn and the leaves along with our moods slowly darken and fall down to earth. In these gloomy times we thought we’d put the colour back in your cheeks with a love song. Ooze (Sebastian Mullaert) and vocalist Tishk (a.k.a. My Essen-Möller) got together and wrote Random Wondrous Things, where jazzy electronica meets pop in possibly the most beautiful love song of the year. Sebastian Mullaert has a long and comprehensive background in music, working professionally with electronic music for over ten years. Aside from his critically acclaimed project Ooze, he is perhaps best known for his Sonkite and Minilogue projects, touring non stop around the world with the huge support and collaboration of some of the planets finest DJs, producers and musicians. It’s a great honour for us to be able to present you with a remix from one of our all time favourite producers: Blue States, who offer us a 60’s pop version of Random Wondrous Things. Blue States respected and accomplished works include three highly successful albums on XL Recordings, Memphis Industries the Thievery Corporations own label ‘ESL’. Sit back, close your eyes and let the record spin you back to the silky 60’s. As always we have something to offer the dance-floor: this time it’s the turn of the hugely talented Canadian Jesse Somfay to show us his version of Random Wondrous Things. Jesse Somfay has gained world recognition for his minimal and yet very moving releases on Traum, Archipel and Plastic City. This remix takes you through the world of minimal techno/trance before expanding into a massive and pulsating anthem, guaranteed to shake up any dance floor. The last remix is the work of none other than the Swedish king of electronica, Andreas Tilliander (a.k.a. Mokira & Lowfour). His remix of Random Wondrous Things smacks this beautiful track straight in the face and blends a wicked mix of dirt, trash & punk up in the sexiest way. It’s no wonder that Andreas’s last album won a Swedish Grammy! Chillosophy Music is a new label that has worldwide downbeat on its agenda. Refusing to limit ourselves to one genre, we also want to explore what happens when dance meets downbeat. Look out for mind-blowing dance remixes of chill tracks on every vinyl release. Stay tuned! Later this month sees the release of the first Chillosophy compilation; Defining Moments - Don’t miss it!!!
